Mary McCormack, an American actress, is best known for playing the lead role in TV shows such as 'The West Wing, In Plain Sight as well as Loaded.' Her movie roles comprise Private Parts, Deep Impact, True Crime, and ?1408?. Born to a clinical therapist and an ice cream store manager, McCormack hails from a family without any direct connections to the world of entertainment. When her parents separated in 1990, she enrolled at Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut and graduated with a BA in Comparative Arts. The path she took to success began at the young twelve years old when she performed in a stage version of the Christmas musical 'Amahl and the Night Visitors'. As she continued her career as a stage actress, McCormack ultimately was cast in roles on the film and television. McCormack is now recognized as one of Hollywood's best performers. She is married to director and producer Michael Morris, she has three daughters.
